The club runs on handshake arrangements from ten years ago and a sponsorship deal nobody can find.
Clubs accumulate obligations informally: sponsorships agreed over a season, player and coaching arrangements that were never documented, ground-sharing understandings, and governing-body rules that apply whether or not anybody has read them. We bring the paper into one place and keep it current.

Dinmore Bell acts as the outsourced General Counsel for sports clubs and organisations: sponsorship and commercial partnerships, ground and facility agreements, supplier and matchday contracts, governance documents, and the disputes that follow. It is a retained function on a fixed monthly fee.
How we own it
Commercial partnerships worth what they say
Sponsorship and partnership agreements with defined deliverables, defined terms and a renewal date somebody is tracking — so value is not lost to a rollover nobody noticed or a benefit nobody delivered.
Governance that survives a change of board
Articles, member rules and delegated authorities that reflect how the club is actually run, so a change of committee does not require rediscovering who is allowed to sign what.
The ground, and everything that happens on it
Leases, licences, ground-share arrangements, matchday supplier contracts and hire terms — the agreements that decide what happens when a fixture is cancelled or a facility fails.
Where specialists come in
Regulatory proceedings before a governing body, disciplinary hearings, and any matter before a court or tribunal are conducted by regulated specialists whom we instruct and coordinate. Player registration, transfer and agent matters governed by sport-specific regulation are handled by appropriately licensed advisers. Safeguarding investigations are conducted by qualified specialists. We hold the budget and remain accountable for the outcome.
Services we run here
- We are a members’ club rather than a company. Does that matter?
- It matters a great deal, and it is often the first thing worth establishing. The legal form decides who is liable, who can bind the club and what happens to assets — and a surprising number of clubs are not what they believe they are.
- Can you handle a sponsorship dispute mid-season?
- Yes. Most are resolved on the deliverables actually agreed, which is why documenting them at the start is worth so much more than arguing about them later.
