Dinmore Bell is an outsourced General Counsel function: retained legal, commercial and corporate affairs for founder-led businesses. We do not undertake reserved legal activities — we coordinate the specialists who do, and stay accountable for the outcome.
What we are
Dinmore Bell operates as a retained legal, commercial and corporate affairs function. We take ownership of matters, run them, execute, and are accountable for the outcome.
What we are not
We are not a law firm and we do not describe ourselves as one. We do not undertake reserved legal activities. Where regulated advice or a reserved activity is required, appropriate specialists are instructed and coordinated by us, and the client is told who they are.
Disputes and litigation
We provide strategy, negotiation, settlement and ownership of correspondence. We do not conduct litigation and hold no rights of audience. Where proceedings are required, litigators and counsel are instructed and controlled by us.
Private client work
We provide family governance, shareholder and family charters and coordination of succession planning. We do not draft wills, apply for probate or administer estates.
Tax and cost recovery
We act on business rates, energy, supplier overbilling and the coordination of relief claims. We do not provide regulated tax advice.
Debt recovery
Business-to-business only. We do not undertake consumer collections. We own pre-action strategy and the letter-before-action stage; enforcement is conducted by instructed specialists.
Compliance
We provide an outsourced compliance function and support. We do not hold FCA approved-person or senior-manager roles, or UAE-regulated officer appointments, unless individually agreed in writing; where an appointment is regulated, registered persons are provided or coordinated.
Which entity you contract with
UK and European clients are served by River Card Ltd, trading as Dinmore Bell. International clients are served by Maurice James LLC-FZ, trading as Dinmore Bell International, Meydan Grandstand, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba 1, Dubai. Your engagement letter names the contracting entity, and a group operating across both is served by both under one scope.
Results and confidentiality
Every matter published on this site is anonymised. Clients are never named, and sectors are described broadly enough that no client is identifiable. This is permanent, not a temporary courtesy.
