What we set, and when

Strictly necessary items are set because the site cannot work without them. Everything else waits for your consent.

db-consent — strictly necessary

Records the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Stored in your browser for twelve months. Set without consent, because remembering that you declined is the only way to honour it.

db-currency — functional

Remembers whether you chose to see prices in GBP, AED, USD or EUR. Stored in your browser until you clear it. Set only after you have accepted functional storage.

Google Analytics — analytics

Measures which pages are read and which routes lead to a booking, so we can make the site better. Set only after you accept analytics. Declining costs you nothing.

Vercel Web Analytics — measurement, no cookies

Counts page views and referrers without setting any cookie and without storing or reading anything on your device. It does not identify you and does not follow you to other sites. Because it stores nothing on your device it runs whatever you choose above — it is how we know how many people visit at all.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time using the link in the footer of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary item above, we will ask for your choice again on each visit, because we will have no record of it.
