We take ownership of complex business problems so founders don’t have to.

Dinmore Bell is a retained problem-ownership and special situations firm for owner-led businesses.

The Pain

Most growing businesses are constantly dealing with contracts, disputes, HMRC, councils, banks, and operational friction.

It’s distracting, expensive, and things get handled ad hoc by different people

The Solution

Dinmore Bell exists to take that off your plate.

When something messy, risky, or annoying comes up, you forward it to us — and we run it to resolution

What We Actually Do

Dinmore Bell acts as your retained problem-ownership and special situations function. We take control of complex, messy, or high-friction issues and run them to resolution so you and your team can stay focused on running the business.

We typically operate across six core areas.

In simple terms: if it’s distracting, risky, contentious, or just painful to deal with — we take it off your plate and own it.

  • Supplier disputes, customer non-payment, bad contract terms, tender risk, liability arguments, variations, warranties, distribution and shipping contracts, and general commercial friction.

  • HMRC enquiries and disputes, payment plans, penalties, reliefs and allowances, Companies House issues, and translating accountants’ advice into action.

  • Business rates, planning, environmental health, trading standards, HSE and other regulatory or local authority issues.

  • Pre-action letters, commercial disputes, claim management, debt recovery strategy, protecting your position, and instructing and controlling solicitors where needed.

  • Covenant breaches, renegotiations, standstills, waivers, lease issues, insurance claims and disputes.

  • Cleaning up contracts and exposure, improving processes, finding tax reliefs, grants or claims, and reducing the likelihood of repeat problems.

How It Works

Step 1 - You forward it

When something comes up — an email from HMRC, a letter before action, a contract, a dispute, a bank issue, or a regulatory problem — you forward it to Dinmore Bell.

Step 2 — We take ownership

We triage the issue, decide the strategy, take control of the correspondence and the process, and manage all the moving parts. If third-party advisers are needed, we instruct and control them.

Step 3 — You get decisions and updates

We keep things moving, apply pressure where needed, and update you with clear options and recommendations. You stay out of the weeds and only get involved where a decision is needed.

You don’t manage problems anymore. You forward them — and we run them.

The Commercial Model

We work on a simple monthly retainer.

The retainer covers Dinmore Bell owning and managing your business problems day to day — intake, triage, correspondence, negotiation, coordination, escalation, and resolution.

If something turns into a substantial standalone piece of work — such as major litigation, a large tender, or a significant restructuring — we scope and agree a separate project fee so it’s fair and transparent.

In practice, most issues are handled within the retainer. Projects are the exception, not the rule.

If you’re tired of dealing with this stuff, let’s talk.

Most of our clients come to us because they’re fed up with being dragged into contracts, disputes, regulators, HMRC, and operational friction.

Dinmore Bell exists to take that burden off your plate.

If you think this would be useful in your business, request a conversation and we’ll see if it makes sense to work together.
